Echukule Losinyen Jeremiah

 
 

Echukule L. Jeremiah was appointed as an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Social Studies, Maasai Mara University in January 2019 and he is still offering his services at the University. He currently serves as Chief Office Administrator in the Office of the County Attorney, Turkana County Government. In another capacity, Echukule is the Director of Museum Limited. In pursuit of his interests in advocating for child rights and protecting vulnerable groups in society, he has successfully organized youth mentorship programmes in secondary schools across Turkana County.

He has also gained experience in human rights while working with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights and Life Skills Promoters as a life skills trainer.

At the age of 7, Echukule was awarded as the best pupil in the "Child writes Child Rights Essay" sponsored by World Vision Kenya. Academically, he has completed his Master of Social Work course work and holds a Bachelor of Social Work (First Class Honors) from Maasai Mara University. He attained his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education at Katilu Secondary school, Turkana County.  

Other particular interests include youth and women empowerment, peacebuilding, and community development. Echukule believes in the Social Work principles of social justice, respect for the worth and dignity of a person, and respect for diversities, among others.
